Meet the Korat

Welcome to the homepage of our Korat Cattery! We love the Korat and we think that if you haven’t already fallen in love with this cat breed then you haven’t met one yet. The Korat is a legendary breed of cats from Thailand, known for it’s muscular build, beautifully luminous green eyes, and sleek, silver-blue fur. Korats love action and adventure, and sharing those experiences with their people. If you’re an office-workaholic that just wants a quiet pet to sit on your lap at the end of the day while you’re watching television, then let’s be honest – the Korat is not for you.

For Korat owners, the day starts with their Korat asking them, “What are we doing today, boss?” and it ends with some cuddling and the Korat saying, “I had fun with you today. Let’s do it again tomorrow!” If you have the energy and the heart, then the Korat will be one of the best friends that you’ve ever had.

If you are interested in cat show competition, then you will find that the Korat is a likely win in the short-hair category. Their single-layer coat doesn’t shed and is easy to clean, so preparation for competition is easy. Korats naturally love adventure and new experience, so they love the travel and show environment. They have a positive attitude about the competition, and as long as their boss has fun, they will have fun, too.
